Job summary

Griffith City Council is seeking a Traffic & Design Engineer to monitor traffic data across the Griffith Local Government Area and develop proposals to improve road safety and traffic flow. You will provide specialist civil engineering advice and support the Engineering Design Section, including heavy vehicle access matters.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent) and a current Australian Driver Licence, with strong skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, plus project

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or qualification acceptable to Institution of Engineers Australia.
• Demonstrated experience providing specialist/technical civil engineering advice.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse traffic and related data across Griffith LGA.
• Develop management proposals to control and regulate traffic and improve road safety.
• Provide traffic engineering assistance, including heavy vehicle access matters, to the Engineering Design Section.
