Job summary

Griffith City Council is seeking a Traffic & Design Engineer to monitor traffic data across the Griffith Local Government Area and develop proposals to improve road safety and traffic flow. You will provide specialist civil engineering advice and support the Engineering Design Section, including heavy vehicle access matters.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent) and a current Australian Driver Licence, with strong skills in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, plus project

• Degree in Civil Engineering or qualification acceptable to Institution of Engineers Australia.
• Demonstrated experience providing specialist/technical civil engineering advice.
• Current Australian Driver Licence.

About the Role

The Traffic and Design Engineer is to monitor and analyse traffic and other related data throughout the Griffith Local Government Area and develop management proposals to control and regulate traffic, improve road safety outcomes, and provide specific traffic engineering assistance, including heavy vehicle access matters, to the Engineering Design Section.

Qualifications

The successful applicant will require to hold a Degree in Civil Engineering or Qualification acceptable to the Institution of Engineers Australia and demonstrated experience in the provision of specialist/technical engineering advice specifically pertaining to Civil engineering. They will also require to h old a current Australian Driver Licence.

You are a highly capable traffic and road safety professional offering expertise in traffic data analysis, road safety initiatives, and technical engineering documentation. You are proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, with excellent communication, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills. You are a dependable professional who performs effectively both independently and within multidisciplinary teams to achieve quality outcomes.
