Job summary

Vibehackers is seeking a Front Office Software Engineer to design, build, test, and support trading and analytics applications used by the trading desk. You will own integrations and schemas, delivering production-grade Python back ends and React TypeScript front ends with disciplined TDD and AI-assisted development.

The role requires ~5 years in front-office trading tech, strong Python and React/TypeScript production experience, and hands-on FIX/Fidessa work.

Qualifications

• 5 years of systems engineering experience in front-office & operations trading tech.
• Production Python expertise with typing, dataclasses, and robust error handling.
• Production React and TypeScript experience with strict mode and clean async patterns.
• Practical experience with FIX protocol including session lifecycle and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on Fidessa integration experience in a live trading environment.
• PostgreSQL and MSSQL schema design and query optimization.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and support Python back-end services and React front-end apps for order flow, position and risk views, trade analytics, and reporting.
• Maintain FIX connectivity and order routing across APAC venues; support Fidessa/Triton configuration and session management.
• Design and own PostgreSQL and MSSQL schemas reflecting trading domain models; write and optimize queries for real-time analytics.
• Translate trader requirements into clear specifications and communicate design decisions clearly.
• Apply a strict TDD cycle: spec sign-off, implementation, tests, peer reviews, and continuous testing.
• Use Copilot and LLMs as disciplined co-authors within the defined development cycle.
