Job summary

Bears Auto Group in Australia is seeking a skilled automotive refinishing technician to join a growing, privately owned team. You will prepare surfaces, mix and apply basecoat and clearcoat, and ensure colour accuracy for high-quality finishes.

The ideal candidate has a Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology (or equivalent) and at least 3 years’ experience, with familiarity with PPG paint systems and OEM procedures. Full Australian working rights required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, cleaning, masking, and priming.
• Apply paint, basecoat, and clearcoat to a high standard.
• Mix and match colours accurately for seamless finishes.
• Inspect, polish, and buff completed work for quality control.
• Maintain spray equipment, booths, and tools.
• Follow all safety and environmental procedures.
