Job summary

RCR Mining Technologies, part of the NRW Holdings Group, is seeking a Trade Assistant to join our Welshpool workshop for casual, day-shift work. You will assist tradespeople with maintenance tasks, basic welding/fabrication, rigging support, and forklift-assisted material handling in a safety-focused workshop environment.

Applicants should hold a current LF forklift licence, have basic welding and fabrication skills, and be able to work in a diverse team while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current LF Forklift Licence with practical experience.
• Basic welding and fabrication experience for workshop roles.
• Experience in an industrial workshop environment.
• Basic rigging experience; RB ticket preferred.
• Ability to perform physically demanding manual work.
• Strong safety focus, reliability and teamwork.
• Good communication skills in a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Assist tradespeople with day-to-day maintenance tasks in the workshop.
• Support mechanical and electrical maintenance work and basic welding/fabrication.
• Assist with rigging activities and material handling with forklifts.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards in a busy workshop.

RCR Mining Technologies is seeking a TradeAssistant to join our team at our WelshpoolWorkshop on a Full-time basis for dayshift.

These hands‑on workshop-based roles support mechanical andelectrical, maintenance, along with basic welding, fabrication, andoccasional rigging work.

About the Role

In this role, you will assist tradespeople with day‑to‑day maintenance tasks while contributing to a safe, efficient, andwell‑organised workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with mechanical and electrical maintenancework

• Perform basic welding, fabrication and grindingtasks

• Support rigging activities as required

• Operate forklifts and assist with material handling

• Maintain a strong focus on safety and housekeeping

Skills, Experience & Requirements

To be successful, you will have:

• Current LF Forklift Licence withpractical experience

• Basic welding and fabrication experience for fabrication roles

• Experience working in an industrial workshopenvironment
