Job summary

Clayton’s Towing Service on the Sunshine Coast is looking for a motivated Trade Assistant to support our busy workshop team. You will assist mechanics, prepare vehicles and equipment, and help keep the workshop safe and organised.

This hands-on role suits someone who enjoys practical work, values safety, and can work both independently and with a team. Possessing a current Australian driver's license is essential, with forklift and HR licences desirable.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, Labourer or in a workshop environment.
• A strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong focus on safety and attention to detail.
• A current and unrestricted Australian Driver’s Licence.
• Forklift Licence (desirable but not essential).
• HR Licence (desirable but not essential).
• Ability to undertake manual handling and physical tasks.

• Picking up and delivering parts as required.
• Assisting with stock control and workshop organisation.
• Supporting breakdown and fleet maintenance activities as directed.
• Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times.

Clayton’s Towing is seeking a motivated and reliable Trade Assistant to join our busy workshop team on the Sunshine Coast.

This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in maintaining a safe and organised workplace, and enjoys being part of a supportive team. You will work closely with our mechanics and workshop staff, assisting with the maintenance and repair of our diverse fleet of towing and transport equipment.

Key responsibilities include:
