Job summary

Fenner Conveyors Emerald is seeking a motivated Trade Assistant to support maintenance, service, repair and assembly of conveyor components and systems. The role is a pathway to a Conveyor Technician trainee through the Belt Splicing Traineeship Program, with a fully company-funded Certificate III in Polymer Processing and a permanent full-time position.

You will work with trade-qualified technicians, progress through the traineeship, and have access to comprehensive safety training and career

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Current driver’s licence is required.
• Experience as a Trade Assistant preferred in manufacturing or mining environments.
• Willingness to work on-call and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist qualified technicians with maintenance, service, repair and assembly of conveyor components and systems.
• Learn and progress through the Belt Splicing Traineeship Program to achieve a national qualification.
• Undergo full pre-employment medical and National Police Check; tickets such as Forklift, Working at Heights, Dogger, Basic Rigging, or Confined Space are desirable.

About The Role

Due to our continued growth and success, we are now seeking motivated self-starters to join the team at Emerald branch as the Trade Assistant taking the opportunity to learn, grow and upskill to be a Conveyor Technician trainee, to assist our trade-qualified technicians with the maintenance, service, repair, and assembly of conveyor components and systems.

This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career through our Belt Splicing Traineeship Program. You will have the chance to earn a nationally recognised qualification and receive a fully company-funded Certificate III in Polymer Processing , along with a permanent full-time position with an industry leader!

What do we need from you?

You must demonstrate a strong commitment to workplace safety and hold a current driver's licence. Previous experience as a Trade Assistant, ideally within a related industry such as manufacturing or mining, is preferred, along with good mechanical aptitude and well‑developed communication and numerical skills. The role requires flexibility, including the ability to work on‑call and undertake overtime when required.

You will be required to undergo a full pre‑employment medical and a National Police Check. While not essential, it is highly desirable that you hold relevant tickets such as Forklift, Working at Heights, Dogger, Basic Rigging, or Confined Space.
