Job summary

Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd is seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our Longreach Branch. This permanent, full-time role runs Monday to Friday and involves supporting a busy service team with parts enquiries, hose assemblies, and daily operations at the hose container.

You will assist local fitters, manage tool tracking, and uphold safety standards while delivering high-quality service. A proactive, team-oriented attitude is essential for success in this role.

What you’ll be doing

Hastings Deering is looking for an experienced Trades Assistant to join our Longreach Branch. In this role, you’ll work alongside a dedicated team to deliver exceptional service and support to our customers. This is a Permanent, Full-time, Monday to Friday role.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and operate the Longreach Hose Container to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Assist customers with parts enquiries and hose assembly requirements, delivering excellent service and technical support.
• Support Longreach-based fitters with day-to-day tasks, including parts expediting and coordination.
• Accurately track all tooling and ensure timely return to the Emerald tool store.
• Uphold safety and compliance standards while managing inventory and equipment.
