Downer Energy & Utilities at Eraring Power Station in Lake Macquarie NSW is seeking Trade Assistants to join the maintenance team. You will support tradespeople with tools, equipment, materials and general site duties to help complete work safely and efficiently.

The ideal candidate has heavy industry experience, is hands-on with hand and power tools, and understands safety procedures. White Card, Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets within 3 years are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Heavy industry experience in power generation, industrial, construction or shutdown environments.
• Hands-on with hand and power tools; able to assist qualified tradespeople.
• Strong commitment to safe work practices and site procedures.
• Team oriented and reliable in a fast-paced maintenance setting.
• White Card, Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (within 3 years) highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Full working rights in Australia and willingness to undertake a pre-employment medical.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Downer's Energy & Utilities business has opportunities for Trade Assistants to join our maintenance team at Eraring Power Station. Working alongside our experienced tradespeople, you will provide hands‑on support across maintenance activities, assisting with tools, equipment, materials and general site duties to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

ABOUT YOU

• Heavy Industry Experience: Previous experience as a Trade Assistant or labourer within power generation, industrial, construction, maintenance or shutdown environments will be highly regarded.
• Hands-On: Confident using hand and power tools and assisting qualified tradespeople with maintenance activities.
• Safety Focused: Strong commitment to safe work practices and following site procedures.
• Team Oriented: Reliable, hardworking and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Site Qualifications: Hold a White Card, Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets (within 3 years validity). Highly desirable, but not mandatory.
• Work Rights: Hold full working rights in Australia and be willing to undertake a pre‑employment medical.
