Job summary

White Industries, a trusted Australian foundry with over 65 years of manufacturing excellence, is seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Foundry Moulder to join Ipswich operations on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work in our Beforecast team, preparing sand moulds for molten metal in a fast-paced plant and reporting to the Beforecast Team Leader.

The role offers a 38-hour week, regular overtime, stable long-term employment, and a safety-focused workplace.

Qualifications

• Understanding of running and feeding systems.
• Knowledge of mould coating technology and finishing operations.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Safe operation of overhead cranes and lifting equipment.

Responsibilities

• Produce moulds and cores using boxed and boxless moulding techniques.
• Select appropriate moulding boxes and report equipment defects.
• Operate sand mixing machinery.
• Inspect patterns and identify defects impacting casting quality.
• Assist with molten metal handling and casting operations.
• Apply basic metallurgy principles to support sound castings.
• Correct use and maintenance of PPE and safety equipment.
• Maintain clean and organised work areas.
• Operate overhead cranes and lifting equipment safely.
• Contribute to continuous improvement and safe work practices.

We are currently seeking an experienced Trade Qualified Foundry Moulder to join our Ipswich operations on a full-time, permanent basis, with regular overtime available.

About the Role

Working within our Beforecast team, you will prepare sand moulds for the casting of molten metal in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

This role offers:

You will report directly to the Beforecast Team Leader and work as part of a skilled, collaborative production team.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce moulds and cores using boxed and boxless moulding techniques

Skills & Experience Required

You will have one of the following:

• Trade qualification as a Moulder, Patternmaker, Coremaker, Metallurgist, Furnaceman or Pourer
• Minimum 3 years' experience

You will demonstrate:

• Knowledge of mould coating technology and finishing operations
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Safe operation of overhead cranes and lifting equipment
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
