Job summary

White Industries in Ipswich (Karrabin) is seeking a Foundry Operator with no experience required to join our 65-year Australian manufacturing heritage. This hands-on role involves preparing sand moulds and supporting metal casting in a safe, team-based environment.

You will work a 38-hour week, Monday to Friday, with regular overtime and on-the-job training. No trade qualifications are needed; we welcome applicants from manufacturing, warehousing or general labour.

Qualifications

• No trade qualifications or previous foundry experience required.
• Reliable, punctual and willing to learn.
• Comfortable with physically demanding work in an industrial environment.
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Able to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• Takes pride in producing quality work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sand moulds and assist with metal casting operations
• Operate sand mixing and other foundry machinery
• Assist with the handling and movement of materials and equipment
• Inspect moulds and materials for defects
• Assist with the safe operation of overhead cranes and lifting equipment, where trained and authorised
• Maintain clean and organised work areas
• Follow workplace safety procedures and correctly use personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Support general factory, production and labouring activities as required
