Job summary

LegalVision is seeking a motivated career paralegal to join our Trade Marks team on a full-time basis. You will assist with trademark searches, filings, and portfolio management for Australian and international clients.

This early-career role offers direct client contact, growth within a dynamic team, and exposure to a wide range of brand-related matters. A law degree is welcome as part of your background.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of paralegal or administrative support experience in a busy legal environment.
• Available to work full-time, including approximately two days per week in the office.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
• Highly efficient, organised, and tech savvy.
• Ability to work autonomously while collaborating with a high-performing team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out trade mark searches and prepare and file trade mark applications.
• Manage trade mark portfolios, monitor deadlines, provide updates to clients, assist with maintenance.
• Liaise with clients throughout the trade mark application process.
• Support lawyers with evidence of use projects.
• Prepare and file trade mark documents with IP Australia, IPONZ and WIPO.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a motivated career paralegal to join our high performing Trade Marks team on a full-time basis. This newly created role offers the chance to work with a growing number of Australian and international businesses across a wide range of industries, supporting them to protect, manage and enforce their brand assets.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out trade mark searches and preparing and filing trade mark applications.
• Managing trade mark portfolios, including monitoring deadlines, providing regular updates to clients, and assisting with maintenance requirements.
• Liaising with clients throughout the trade mark application process.
• Supporting lawyers with evidence of use projects.
• Preparing and filing trade mark documentation with IP Australia, IPONZ and WIPO.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an early career paralegal to step into a supportive team that offers real responsibility and direct client contact. Prior experience in trade mark matters will be highly valued but is not essential.

While we welcome applications from candidates who possess a law degree, this paralegal role will not provide a pathway to a law graduate position in our team.
