Job summary

Bunnings is seeking a Department Manager - Trade to lead a fast-paced, customer-focused team in our store. You’ll shape the experience for commercial customers, drive growth, and develop leadership capability within the team.

You’ll work with Trade Specialists and the broader store team to deliver a seamless end-to-end customer journey, rostering, stock flow and exceptional service. This role requires weekend work on a 1 in 3 roster and some public holidays.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of customer service and commercial outcomes.
• Lead by example in safe work practices and ensure team members follow correct procedures.
• Be able to approach, connect and confidently interact with customers and teams.
• To act with integrity, be safe and do your best.
• An ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a fast environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead & develop a team to deliver a consistent, knowledgeable experience for trade customers.
• Build strong relationships with key customers while driving sales through merchandising and availability.
• Work with Trade Specialists and store team to deliver a seamless end-to-end experience.
• Use customer insights to improve service and strengthen loyalty.
• Manage rostering, stock flow and day-to-day operations.
• Support community and local business connections to grow the customer base.
