Job summary

Actrol, part of the Reece Group, is seeking a Trade Counter Assistant in Pialba. You will work in the Trade Counter team helping engineers, project managers and tradespeople access products, while performing day-to-day tasks that keep the branch running smoothly.

The role involves customer service, quotes, picking/packing, stock control, maintaining a tidy and safe shop, and occasional deliveries using a company vehicle.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Willing to learn and help customers in person and over the phone.
• Able to pick orders, maintain shop displays and ensure accuracy.
• Computer literate and quick to learn new systems.
• Clean valid driver’s licence and willing to work varied shifts, including weekends.
• Interested in developing a career within our network or head office.

About the role

As part of the Trade Counter team in Pialba, you’ll help engineers, project managers and other tradespeople access the products they need to maintain essential services, as well as undertaking other tasks that keep customers happy and the branch running smoothly.

Your day-to-day

A typical day will involve:

• Providing customer service and information about products

• Providing quotes both in person and over the phone

• Undertaking pick packing and stock control activities

• Helping keep the branch tidy and safe

• Making occasional deliveries to customers using a company vehicle

We’d love to hear from you if you’re someone who:

• Has previous experience in retail sales or customer service and enjoys helping customers both in person and over the phone

• Might not have experience in this space, but is willing to learn

• Can pick orders, maintain shop floor displays and ensure information provided is accurate

• Can use a computer and is happy to learn new systems

• Has a clean valid driver’s licence and is open to working various shifts, including weekends

• Wants to develop their career - either locally, within our network or head office
