Actrol, part of the Reece Group, is seeking a Trade Counter Assistant in Broome to support engineers and tradespeople with product information, quotes and order picking. You’ll help maintain stock, assist customers on the shop floor and may perform occasional deliveries to customers using a company vehicle.

The role welcomes applicants with retail or customer service experience, a willingness to learn, and a clean, valid driver’s licence.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service and enjoy helping customers in person and over the phone.
• Willing to learn even if not experienced in this space.
• Able to pick orders, maintain shop floor displays and ensure information is accurate.
• Comfortable using a computer and eager to learn new systems.
• Clean valid driver’s licence and willingness to work varying shifts, including weekends.

About the role

As part of the Trade Counter team in Broome, you'll help engineers, project managers and other tradespeople access the products they need to maintain essential services, as well as undertaking other tasks that keep customers happy and the branch running smoothly.

Your day-to-day

A typical day will involve:

• Providing customer service and information about products
• Providing quotes both in person and over the phone
• Undertaking pick packing and stock control activities
• Helping keep the branch tidy and safe
• Making occasional deliveries to customers using a company vehicle

We’d love to hear from you if you’re someone who:

• Has previous experience in retail sales or customer service and enjoys helping customers both in person and over the phone
• Might not have experience in this space, but is willing to learn
• Can pick orders, maintain shop floor displays and ensure information provided is accurate
• Can use a computer and is happy to learn new systems
• Has a clean valid driver's licence and is open to working various shifts, including weekends
• Wants to develop their career - either locally, within our network or head office
