Job summary

Westgold Resources Limited is seeking a Trade Assistant for our Bluebird Underground Gold Mine near Meekatharra, WA. The role involves cleaning heavy machinery, assisting tradespeople, and general site labour to support safe operations.

You will work a family-friendly 8/6 roster, fly in/out on Tuesdays, with camp facilities and various allowances. Essential licences include HR WA and Forklift; trade qualifications are desirable, with a strong safety mindset and teamwork driving performance.

Qualifications

• Current HR Class WA driver’s licence is essential.
• Forklift Licence is essential.
• Valid trade qualifications, certificates, and licences are desirable.
• Previous experience in construction or trades is a plus.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks.
• Able to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• A can-do, team-oriented attitude with safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning of heavy machinery in preparation for servicing.
• Assisting Tradespersons to safely complete works.
• Cleaning of workshop and stocktaking of consumables.
• Safely and efficiently operate buses and site vehicles as required throughout the site.
• Ad hoc labouring duties, as directed by your Supervisor.
• Liaising with Contractors and Stakeholders as required.
