Job summary

Onsite Rental Group is seeking a Trade Assistant (plumbing experience) to join our Pakenham workshop team, assisting qualified technicians in delivering quality portable buildings and caravans.

The role demands hands-on, mechanical aptitude, reliability, and the ability to perform physical work. A current licence and safety certifications are preferred but not always essential.

Qualifications

• Current Drivers Licence.
• Aptitude for hands-on, mechanical / maintenance tasks.
• Reliability, self-motivation & willingness to work.
• Ability to perform physical work.
• Sound written and verbal communication skills.
• High Risk Work Licence LF (Forklift) – Desirable.
• Construction Induction Card (White Card) – Desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair portable buildings to ensure they are structurally sound and presented to a high standard.
• Ensure all works completed are compliant to relevant Australian standards.
• Build and install structures and fixtures in portable buildings and caravans.
• Repair damaged ceilings, flooring, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork.
• Perform basic plumbing work.
• Regularly undertake stock takes and maintain appropriate stock levels.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork in full and on time.

About the role

Onsite has an opportunity for a Trade Assistant (experience in plumbing) to join our team in Pakenham to assist our qualified technicians in the workshop.

In this role, you will: -

• Inspect and repair portable buildings as required to ensure they are structurally sound and presented to a high standard
• Ensure all works completed are compliant to relevant Australian standards
• Build and install structures and fixtures such as kitchens, cabinetry, windows, frames, floorings, trim or hardware in portable buildings and caravans
• Repair damaged ceiling, flooring, wall coverings, siding, glass, or woodwork
• Perform basic plumbing work
• Regularly undertake stock takes on required products and equipment and maintain appropriate stock levels
• Ensure all required paperwork is completed and submitted in full and on time
