Job summary

Programmed is seeking entry-level Welders / Trades Assistants to join a busy precast concrete manufacturing team in Swanbank. No prior welding experience is required – the site will train the right person.

You will work with reo bar to prepare reinforcement structures, tack weld pieces with a welding gun, and perform basic hand-tool tasks. The role includes general labouring, housekeeping, and strict safety adherence. Shift times start early (4am–6am) for 8–10 hour days.

Qualifications

• Entry-level role; no welding experience required, training provided.
• Comfortable using hand and power tools.
• Willing to learn basic welding skills and work as part of a team.
• Safety-conscious and able to follow instructions.
• Previous labouring, construction or manufacturing experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

The Role

You will be working with reo bar (reinforcing steel) to prepare reinforcement structures used in the production of large precast concrete products.

Duties will include:

• General labouring and housekeeping duties


• Following safety procedures and instructions at all times

About You

We are looking for candidates who are:
