Job summary

Rashi Joshi is seeking 10 Full time Mobile Plant Operators to commence on farms located at South Kolan, Sharon & Qunaba Qld 4670. The positions start between August and October 2026 and run ongoing, supporting the Nursery Manager and Farm Maintenance Team.

Typical duties include driving mechanical harvesters and tractors, assisting with irrigation, weeding and crop management, and recording production and quality data.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physical labour in hot humid conditions.
• Able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

10 Full time Mobile Plant Operators are required to start on farms located at South Kolan, Sharon & Qunaba Qld 4670. Work will commence between August & October 2026 and will be ongoing. Work will be primarily assisting our Nursery Manager and the Farm Maintenance Team. Duties of work include but are not limited:

• Driving mechanical harvesters and operating tractors with engine capacity of over 70kW
• assisting with the irrigation of plants
• checking for water leaks
• planting
• pruning
• spraying & harvesting of crops
• recording detailed information on production and quality indicators
• general field tasks and maintenance

Hours worked will generally be Monday to Friday between the hours of 5.00am and 6.00pm. Flexibility with hours is required, depending on weather and crop maturity.

Applicants must - have the ability to do physical labour in hot humid conditions in the field, be fit & healthy, not be colour blind or vision impaired (as the role requires employees picking fruit & vegetables to specific stages of ripeness), attention to detail, able to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Most work will be Level 3 under the Horticultural Award 2020, with an hourly rate of $26.84. Training will be provided.
