Job summary

NRMA Tow Truck Operator based at Prestons depot supports members across Australia by providing towing assistance and frontline service. You will be on the frontline, loading and transporting vehicles while upholding safety standards and customer-first service.

The role requires a NSW MR license and a Tow Truck Driver’s Certificate (or eligibility). You’ll work a rotating 7-day roster with 12-hour shifts (6am–8pm), in a supportive team with full training and growth opportunities within the NRMA

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid NSW MR license (or higher).
• Tow Truck Driver’s Certificate or eligibility to obtain one prior to commencement.
• Flexibility for a rotating roster across a 7-day week, including public holidays, on 12-hour shifts (6am–8pm).
• Excellent customer service and ability to work with diverse communities.
• Knowledge of safe work practices and procedures to ensure safety.
• Strong communication and active listening skills.
• Team player with a positive, adaptable mindset.
• Interest in transportation, cars or trucking is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Respond to road service calls, load, transport and unload vehicles in a professional manner.
• Represent the NRMA brand by understanding customer needs and providing service solutions.
• Analyse breakdown position and decide the best action to recover and transport per safety standards.
• Maintain clear communication with members for safety and service quality.
• Keep tools, uniforms and equipment in good condition.
• Contribute to working groups, toolbox talks, trials and committees to improve operations.
