Job summary

Qantas is seeking a System Implementation Lead - Operations and Logistics (TMS) to drive the deployment of Manhattan TMS across Qantas Engineering Supply Chain. You will own transport orders, route design, carrier integration and shipment visibility to enable cost-effective freight operations.

The role focuses on onboarding freight providers, validating workflows across Manhattan TMS, Maintenix and Oracle, and creating training materials for transport and planning teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of aviation regulatory requirements and safety-sensitive logistics is relevant.
• Strong operational knowledge of transport, freight forwarding and carrier management.
• Experience implementing or supporting a TMS, ideally Manhattan TMS, or similar enterprise transport technology.
• Ability to translate transport requirements into workflows, test scenarios and go-live plans.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with data interpretation for service/cost improvements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead change and manage stakeholders and providers.
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to prioritise autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate global freight routes and cost structures to support optimisation.
• Support creation, configuration and tracking of routes and transport orders for ports.
• Onboard freight forwarding providers and ensure carrier integration with Qantas tech.
• Validate workflows across Manhattan TMS, Maintenix and Oracle for visibility.
• Build and maintain test scripts and contribute to system configuration documentation.
• Create and deliver training for transport and planning teams on new TMS processes.
• Lead TMS testing and validation across order creation, routing, and delivery confirmation.
