Job summary

Dahlsens in Echuca, Victoria seeks a hands-on Truck Driver to safely deliver timber and building products to trade customers across the Echuca region. You will load/unload, manage daily runs, and ensure on-time, accurate deliveries while upholding safety standards.

This is a full-time permanent role offering an attractive hourly rate, superannuation, uniform and boots reimbursement, and a supportive team within a 145-year-old company that puts its people first.

Qualifications

• Mandatory HR licence, crane licence, forklift licence, and White Card.
• Minimum three years' experience delivering or handling similar products.
• Clean driving record with no infringements.
• Stock control and safe loading/unloading experience.
• Customer service and strong communication with builders on site.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 25kg, occasionally 40kg.
• Ability to work without supervision and manage your time.
• Team player with a can-do safety-first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles and plant safely.
• Transport and handle product to site.
• Use loading crane to load/unload.
• Secure deliveries with bearers, straps and ties.
• Deliver on time and in full per run sheets.
• Communicate changes/delays to customers.
• Ensure goods match run sheets and are checked.
• Assess sites and hazards before unloading.
• Maintain vehicles and plant; complete inspections.
• Report defects and tag plant out.
• Manual handling of timber and building materials.
• Assist in the yard when needed.
• Report hazards and incidents via Donesafe.
• Live the safety principles daily.
