Job summary

NR Timber Pty Ltd in Coombell, NSW is seeking an experienced Timber Machinist / Moulder Operator. The role offers flexibility to be full-time or casual, contributing to our manufacturing operations at our Coombell facility.

You will set up and operate a Wadkin 6-head moulding machine, maintain tooling, monitor output, and ensure quality while upholding health and safety protocols and recording production data. NSW-based opportunity with potential for additional hours.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating industrial multi-head moulding machinery in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of timber characteristics and moulding techniques.
• Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Ability to perform manual handling and operate machinery for extended periods.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety practices.
• Shift work flexibility and reliable punctuality.
• Relevant machinery operation qualifications or certifications are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate the Wadkin 6-head moulding machine.
• Prepare and change tooling to match production profiles.
• Monitor production output to ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks and report faults or irregularities.
• Implement safe work practices and adhere to health and safety protocols.
• Inspect finished products for defects and ensure specifications are met.
• Maintain accurate production records.
• Communicate production progress with your supervisor regarding operations.
• Assisting with other general mill operations.
