Job summary

Wade Sawmill in Maryborough, QLD, is seeking a reliable Labourer for a full-time role, 6.00 am to 2.30 pm, Monday to Friday. You’ll work hands-on across the pine mill, with internal training offered and the opportunity to progress into machine operator positions.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment health assessment and drug/alcohol screening required.
• Physically capable of manual handling and a hands-on role.

Responsibilities

• Perform general labouring duties across various areas of the pine mill.
• Handle, sort, stack and move timber products safely and efficiently.
• Assist machine operators with production activities as required.
• Learn to operate a range of sawmill plant, machinery and equipment.
• Monitor timber products and identify quality issues.
• Follow production instructions and assist the team in meeting daily production requirements.
• Maintain clean, organised and safe work areas.
• Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
• Identify and report equipment, maintenance or operational issues.
• Contribute to a positive, productive and team-focused working environment.
