Job summary

Unyte is seeking experienced HR Tilt Tray and Float Drivers to support civil construction projects across Victoria. You will transport materials, equipment and machinery safely to and from site, with a focus on vehicle presentation and safety compliance.

Based at Avlon and part of a close-knit transport team, you will work with site crews, perform pre-start checks, and help with loading/unloading as required. A valid HR/HC/MC licence and White Card are essential.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid HR/HC/MC licence relevant to the vehicle operated.
• A White Card (Construction Induction).
• Minimum 2 years’ heavy vehicle driving experience in a civil or construction environment, with experience transporting machinery.
• Ability to live away from home from time to time, with occasional longer trips.
• Strong understanding of road transport legislation, NHVR compliance and CoR obligations.
• Experience with Oversize and Over mass loads.
• Reliable, safety-focused and professional approach to work.
• Have own reliable transport to and from the depot.
• A clean driving history; VicRoads traffic report will be conducted prior to commencement.

Responsibilities

• Operate Tilt Tray Vehicle or Floats safely and efficiently.
• Travel locally and interstate.
• Ensure loads comply with mass, dimension and load restraint requirements.
• Complete daily pre-start checks and report defects promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and professionalism.

This is a hands‑on role suited to a professional driver who takes pride in vehicle presentation, safety compliance and working collaboratively with site teams. Our fleet is based out of Avlon with the opportunity to be a part of close‑knit transport team, that puts safety first. We pride ourselves on customer service and communication, if this sounds like you.

Your everyday:

• Operating either acompany Tilt Tray Vehicle or Floats safely and efficiently
• Travelling locally and interstate
• Ensure all loads comply with mass, dimension and load restraint requirements
• Complete daily pre‑start checks and report defects promptly
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, presentation and professionalism always
• Support site and yard operations, including loading/unloading, labouring and team coordination
