Job summary

Narellan Pools, Toowoomba is seeking a skilled and experienced tiler to join our team on a full-time basis. Based in Toowoomba, QLD 4350, this role is central to delivering high-quality tiling services for our pool construction and renovation projects.

Qualifications

• Recognised tiling qualifications or equivalent apprenticeship completion in the building trades.
• Minimum 3-5 years of practical experience as a qualified tiler, preferably with pool or wet area specialisation.
• Proficiency in tiling tools and equipment, including tile cutters, grout mixers and levelling systems.
• Strong understanding of waterproofing principles and moisture management in pool environments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality finishes.
• Physical fitness and the ability to work at heights and in confined spaces where necessary.
• Current driver's licence and reliable access to transport.
• Knowledge of relevant Australian Building Standards and safety regulations.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Problem-solving abilities and adaptability to changing site conditions.

Narellan Pools, Toowoomba is seeking a skilled and experienced Tiler to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. Based in Toowoomba, QLD 4350, this role is central to delivering high-quality tiling services for our pool construction and renovation projects. As a Tiler, you will be responsible for the precise installation of tiles in various pool environments, ensuring exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects whilst contributing to the reputation and success of Narellan Pools.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and level surfaces in accordance with project specifications and industry standards
• Mix and apply adhesive and grouting materials with precision and consistency
• Cut and shape tiles to fit specific areas, including corners, edges and curved surfaces
• Install tiles on pool structures, walls and surrounding areas with accurate spacing and alignment
• Apply grout to tile joints and clean excess material to achieve professional finishes
• Conduct quality inspections throughout the tiling process to maintain high standards
• Interpret and follow project plans, drawings and specifications
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, team members and other trades
• Transport and handle materials safely, minimising waste and damage
