Job summary

GemLife is seeking an experienced Wall & Floor Tiler to join our construction team in Burnett Heads, QLD. You will tile walls and floors across residential projects, ensuring quality, safety and adherence to plans and standards.

You will prepare surfaces, measure and cut tiles, apply adhesives, grout and sealants, and install tiles to required levels and falls. You’ll read plans and coordinate with site trades to maintain schedules and quality.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling is required.
• Proven wall and floor tiling experience.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.
• Knowledge of waterproofing requirements.
• White Card holder.

Responsibilities

• Carry out wall and floor tiling works on residential construction projects.
• Prepare surfaces to ensure they are suitable for tile installation.
• Measure, cut and fit tiles in accordance with project requirements.
• Install tiles using appropriate adhesives, grout and sealant products.
• Ensure tiled surfaces are set to the required levels, falls and alignment.
• Complete waterproofing-related tasks in accordance with project specifications and requirements.
• Read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications to support project delivery.
• Inspect completed work and rectify minor defects to achieve a high-quality finish.
• Maintain a safe and organised work area and follow workplace health and safety requirements.
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and other trades to complete projects within required timeframes.

Job description

GemLife is seeking an experienced Wall & Floor Tiler to join our construction team, with opportunities available in Burnett Heads.

You’ll carry out wall and floor tiling across residential construction projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high-quality finish in accordance with plans, specifications and relevant standards.

A day in the life...

You’ll prepare surfaces, measure and cut tiles, apply adhesives, grout and sealants and install tiles to the required levels and falls. You’ll focus on accurate alignment, spacing and presentation while identifying and rectifying any defects and coordinating with the wider site team.
