Job summary

Mastercard is seeking a Lead Security Engineer to own the RESPOND incident response product and drive AI-augmented security operations across SOC, DFIR, and threat response teams. You will shape strategy, governance, and tooling to deliver measurable security outcomes at scale.

The role requires deep expertise in security operations, SOAR, and AI-driven triage, with hands-on capability and strategic leadership to partner with detection teams and regulators.

Qualifications

• Extensive heads-on experience in security operations and incident response.
• Experience designing AI-augmented response in a large enterprise.
• Hands-on with SOAR tooling and integration into DFIR workflows.
• Strong DFIR background across endpoint, network, cloud, and identity.

Responsibilities

• Own multi-year strategy and roadmap for incident response capabilities and AI augmentation.
• Define taxonomy mapped to NIST CSF, MITRE ATT&CK, and D3FEND.
• Oversee SOAR platforms, case management, evidence collection, and orchestration.
• Govern AI-assisted response actions and ensure regulatory auditability.
• Lead vendor evaluations, POCs, and procurement for tools and AI infra.
• Represent RESPOND capabilities to executives and regulators.
