Amazon’s Corporate Security Response (AWS CorpSec) seeks a Security Engineering Manager to act as APAC Site Lead in Melbourne. You will lead a hands-on security engineering team, drive complex investigations, and shape autonomous tooling while upholding operational excellence.

You will mentor engineers across incident response, threat analytics, forensics, and security automation. This is a role for hands-on leadership at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of managing and developing teams.
• 5+ years of progressive work within a software security team or related operating environment.
• Knowledge of security of web services, cryptography, network security protocols and operating system security.
• Experience applying threat modeling or other risk identification techniques.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive complex security investigations end-to-end — from triage through containment, remediation, and closure.
• Lead cross-functional incident coordination with Legal, Security, and engineering leadership, delivering clear risk assessments and recommended actions.
• Define investigation user stories that codify expert security tradecraft into autonomous agent behavior.
• Recruit, develop, and retain security engineers who thrive in ambiguity and drive outcomes through direct action.
• Identify recurring patterns and deliver detection rules and automation to close gaps.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
