Job summary

Snap Inc., a technology company, is seeking a Threat Intelligence focused security engineer to join our Detection and Response team in Sydney. You will track sophisticated threat actors, develop threat intelligence, and build detection capabilities across our production environments, corporate infrastructure, and internal tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in threat intelligence, threat hunting, digital forensics, malware analysis, incident response/management, or intrusion detection.
• Strong development skills in Python and/or Go.
• Advanced knowledge of cloud infrastructure and security across multiple environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyze, and develop threat intelligence on TTPs across APT and cybercrime ecosystems.
• Proactively track and monitor threat actors and campaigns.
• Research and innovate new detection/response capabilities and automation.
• Leverage AI and automation to scale intelligence and response systems.
• Design, pilot, and implement robust logging and alerting across endpoints, infra, networks, and cloud.
• Lead incident response efforts and coordinate with multiple teams.
