CatholicCare Diocese Of Broken Bay is hiring Therapeutic Youth Workers for permanent part-time roles across Sydney metro. The position offers a pay rate of $38.65 per hour plus super and salary packaging, with 25–30 hours per week and a 24/7 roster including morning, afternoon, night, sleepover and awake shifts.

You'll support young people aged 12–18 in Out of Home Care, using trauma-informed care and relationship-building to help them heal and thrive.

Qualifications

• Cert III, IV or Diploma in Community Services or Youth Work (or willingness to enrol).
• Experience working with young people facing emotional, behavioural, or social challenges.
• Understanding trauma-informed care and its application.
• Ability to build trust, maintain boundaries and use behaviour support strategies.
• Excellent report writing and safeguarding practices.
• Holding a valid NSW Driver's Licence with insured vehicle.
• Working With Children Check.
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).

Responsabilités

About the role

This permanent part-time position involves working in our therapeutic homes for children aged 12-18 living in Out of Home Care. You'll be part of a 24/7 rotating roster (morning, afternoon, night, sleepover & awake shifts) with your schedule provided 2 weeks in advance. We're offering 25-30 hours per week, with the flexibility to pick up extra shifts.

Locations include:

• Thornleigh
• West Pymble
• Artarmon
• Ashbury

You'll work closely with young people with complex needs, helping them heal, grow, and thrive through trauma-informed care and meaningful relationships. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or trauma is highly valued and will help you succeed in this role.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Cert III, IV or Diploma in Community Services or Youth Work (or willingness to enrol)
