Job summary

CatholicCare Diocese Of Broken Bay is expanding and offering permanent part-time roles at a new therapeutic home in Wagga Wagga for youths aged 12-18 in Out of Home Care.

You will join a 24/7 rotating roster and provide trauma-informed care, aiming to help young people heal and grow. NSW Driver’s Licence and WWCC are required; First Aid may be obtained if needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in trauma-informed care with young people.
• Strong report writing and safeguarding practices.
• Ability to build trust and maintain professional boundaries.
• Willingness to enrol and complete required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma-informed care to children aged 12–18 in Out of Home Care.
• Participate in a 24/7 rotating roster (mornings, afternoons, nights, sleepovers).

About the role

This permanent part-time position is based at our brand-new therapeutic home in Wagga Wagga for children aged 12-18 living in Out of Home Care.

You'll participate in a 24/7 rotating roster (mornings, afternoons, nights, and sleepovers) with your schedule provided 2 weeks in advance. We are offering 25-30 hours per week with an option to pick up extra shifts!

You'll work closely with young people with complex needs, helping them heal, grow, and thrive through trauma-informed care and meaningful relationships. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities or trauma is highly valued and will help you succeed in this role.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Cert III, IV or Diploma in Community Services or Youth Work (or willingness to enrol)
• Experience working with young people facing emotional, behavioural, or social challenges.
• Strong understanding of trauma-informed care.
• Ability to build trust, maintain boundaries, and use behaviour support strategies.
• Excellent report writing and safeguarding practices.
• Hold a valid NSW Driver's Licence + comprehensively insured vehicle.
• Working With Children Check.
• First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
