Job summary

Life Without Barriers is seeking a Therapeutic Youth Worker to support young people aged 12 to 17 who have faced trauma, abuse or neglect. The role covers casual and permanent positions across multiple Sydney locations, including after-school, sleepover and weekend shifts in residential settings.

Qualifications

• Hold or be actively completing a Diploma in Community Services or related field (or higher).
• Provide First Aid certificate (HLTAID011) is required.
• Experience supporting children/young people who have trauma, disability, or behaviours of concern is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support 12–17 year olds who experienced trauma, abuse or neglect.
• Help young people learn independent life skills and problem-solving.
• Assist with daily living tasks and personal care when needed.
• Maintain a safe, homelike environment across 24/7 roster including afternoon, sleepover and weekend shifts.
