Job summary

Life Without Barriers is hiring a Therapeutic Youth Worker to support children and young people aged 12 to 17 who’ve experienced trauma, abuse or neglect. You will work in residential settings, with a roster that includes afternoons, sleepovers, and weekends.

Applicants with lived experience are welcome, and the role offers permanent part-time and casual arrangements. A First Aid certificate and a current driver’s licence are required.

Qualifications

• Hold or be actively completing a Diploma in Community Services or related field (or higher).
• Experience supporting Children, Young People and/or People with disability.
• A current Provide First Aid (HLTAID011) certificate.
• A current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Support children and young people aged 12 to 17 who’ve experienced trauma, abuse, or neglect.
• Be willing to work a roster including afternoon, sleepover and weekend shifts.
• Support in 24/7 residential homes.
