Job summary

Phendit Disability & Home Care Services is seeking a Therapeutic Disability Support Worker to deliver in-home and community supports across Sydney, with a focus on South-Western Sydney. You will assist with personal care, meal prep, transport, and social participation while building skills and reporting progress.

Ideal candidates have a Certificate III in related fields, current First Aid/CPR, and NDIS Worker Screening. WWC may be required; bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, AIN, or equivalent.
• Current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
• NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
• Working With Children Check (if applicable).
• Previous experience supporting people with disability preferred.
• Ability to provide personal care and manual handling support.
• Strong observation and reporting skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Understanding of WHS and risk management in home and community settings.
• Reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle and current NSW Driver’s Licence.
• Bilingual applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a Therapeutic Disability Support Workers to support participants primarily within South-Western Sydney, while also servicing participants across the broader Sydney metropolitan area.

As a Phendit Support Worker, you will provide individualised in-home and community-based supports, including:

Personal care and daily living assistance

Community access and social participation

Capacity building and skill development

Meal preparation and household tasks

Transport to appointments and activities

Medication prompts (where applicable)

Behavioural and emotional support

Progress reporting and documentation

You will play a vital role in promoting independence, dignity, safety, and improved quality of life for our participants.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate professionalism, empathy, reliability, and strong communication skills.

Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, AIN, or equivalent
