Job summary

Maple Youth Services in Sydney seeks a Therapeutic Supervisor to lead practice standards and supervise TCWs across 36 IPA homes. Travel between homes is frequent, with initial office-based learning before a hybrid model (3 days in office, 2 from home).

You will oversee safeguarding, complex trauma work with children and young people, and maintain reporting duties, dashboards, and cohort wellbeing surveys. A relevant degree and NSW Working With Children check are required.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising frontline staff and providing reflective practice.
• Knowledge of trauma-informed care, attachment, emotional regulation and positive behaviour support.
• Working knowledge of NSW child protection legislation and mandatory reporting.

Responsibilities

• Face to face supervision, coaching and reflective practice with TCWs.
• Routine visits to IPA homes to observe quality of care and embed therapeutic practice.
• Safeguarding decisions, reportable conduct and statutory notifications.
• Liaison with regulator, referring agencies, carers and families.
• Develop templates, audit thresholds and escalation for practice standards.
• Align staff practice with care plans and risk management.
• Direction of offshore supervisor's work queue and priorities.
• Onboarding and ongoing development of new TCWs.
