Job summary

MacKillop Family Services is seeking a House Supervisor for the Northern Residential Care Program based in Preston, VIC. You will oversee daily care delivered by residential care workers within your unit and report to the Residential Care Coordinator.

Successful applicants will hold a relevant bachelor degree or diploma with mandatory competencies, with demonstrated skills in behavioural management for children and adolescents in a therapeutic residential setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree with four mandatory competencies (top up units) or Diploma with four mandatory competencies (top up units).
• Proven skills and experience in development of behavioural management programs for children and adolescents with challenging behaviours.
• Ability to participate collaboratively and constructively within teams of peers, staff and other stakeholders, as well as initiative and effective personal judgement when working alone.
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge of the residential care field, particularly within a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily care of clients provided by residential care workers within allocated residential care unit.
• Part of the Out of Home Care Program and reports to the Residential Care Coordinator.
