Job summary

VACCA is seeking a Therapeutic Practitioner to deliver culturally safe assessments and therapies for Aboriginal children and young people aged 0–18, within a healing-focused team. You will work across sites with travel as required and contribute to trauma-informed care and family support.

The role offers regular clinical supervision, collaborative reviews, and opportunities to engage with Aboriginal communities while advancing culturally responsive practice.

Qualifications

• Must have tertiary qualification and be eligible for relevant professional registration.
• Experience conducting therapeutic assessments with children and families.
• Strong understanding of child development and trauma.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for clinical reports.

Responsibilities

• Conduct therapeutic assessments and deliver healing therapies for Aboriginal children aged 0–18 and families.
• Provide primary and secondary consultation to families and professional networks.
• Respond therapeutically to pain-based behaviours with trauma-informed approaches.
• Produce clear clinical reports and recommendations to support each child's care team.
