Knox Private Hospital is seeking a Theatre Technician to join our Perioperative Services team on a permanent part-time basis. The role supports safe theatre operation, working with surgeons, nurses and anaesthetists to improve patient outcomes.

You will help prepare theatres, handle equipment, and assist with positioning and transfers in a fast-paced surgical environment. Flexible rosters are negotiated for successful candidates.

Formación

• Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Technician) or currently enrolled, with clinical placement.
• Knowledge of theatre equipment and perioperative safety practices.
• Experience delivering patient care in a healthcare setting.
• Strong teamwork, accountability and patient safety.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational and documentation skills.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot issues.
• Customer-focused approach and ability to meet service standards.
• Ability to perform the physical demands of the role.

Responsabilidades

• Delivering high-quality care and support to patients throughout their surgical journey.
• Preparing operating theatres and equipment prior to procedures.
• Assisting with patient positioning, transfers and safe patient handling practices.
• Supporting Team Time Out processes and correct-site surgery protocols.
• Transporting patients safely to and from theatre areas.
• Ensuring theatre equipment is correctly positioned, operational and appropriately maintained.
• Maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness and infection prevention between procedures and at the completion of operating lists.
• Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure outstanding patient outcomes.
