Calvary Adelaide Hospital is seeking a capable Theatre Technician to support the safe, efficient theatre environment. You will help with preparation, equipment management and patient transfers, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient theatre turnover.

The role requires manual handling training and experience in operating theatres or healthcare. This is a permanent full-time or part-time position based in Adelaide, SA, with ongoing development and benefits at Calvary.

Qualifications

• Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Operating Theatre Technician Specialisation) or equivalent.
• Current manual handling training.
• Previous experience in an operating theatre or healthcare environment.
• Understanding of perioperative workflows and theatre operations and infection prevention principles.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, set up and maintain operating theatres and specialised equipment for scheduled procedures.
• Transport instruments to decontamination, assist with cleaning and turnover of theatres.
• Manage theatre equipment, stock replenishment, and ensure infection control and safety standards.
