Canberra Grammar School invites applications for an engaging Textiles and Design Teacher across Years 7-12 for a full-time, ongoing position commencing in 2027. The role focuses on teaching textiles, design and technology, with hands-on learning that encourages experimentation and technical confidence.

You will collaborate with a passionate teaching team, contribute to curriculum planning and assessment, and support pastoral care and co-curricular opportunities across the school community.

Qualifications

• A relevant tertiary degree and teaching qualification.
• Subject specialism sufficient to teach a discipline to senior level.
• Ability to teach Design and Technology, e.g.; Textiles and Fashion Design, Product Design and Technologies and Fibre Production Technologies.
• Knowledge and understanding of coding with teaching experience desirable.
• Capacity to teach across a broad age and ability range with inclusive learning.
• Use of assessment, feedback and data to advance student learning.
• Commitment to pastoral care and co-curricular engagement.
• Excellent English and strong interpersonal and technological literacy.
• Commitment to safeguarding children.
