Job summary

Amentum are seeking an experienced Tactical UAS Test & Evaluation Manager to lead end-to-end test and evaluation activities for Brisbane-based UAS programs in a Defence environment.

You will work with engineering, project stakeholders, and Defence personnel to ensure testing is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose, providing specialist guidance on verification, validation, system safety, and capability assurance. NV1 clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Formal qualifications or recognised training in Test & Evaluation.
• Significant experience leading complex Test & Evaluation programs in Defence, government or industry.
• Strong knowledge of verification, validation, certification and capability assurance processes.
• Experience conducting technical risk assessments and supporting system safety programs.
• Experience producing high-quality technical reports and documentation.
• Knowledge of Defence Test & Evaluation and systems engineering frameworks.
• Current Australian Government Security Clearance NV1 or NV2.

Tell me about this role:

Amentum are seeking an experienced Tactical UAS Test & Evaluation Manager to play a key role in the acquisition, integration and delivery of advanced Uncrewed Aircraft Systems within a Defence environment.

Working as a trusted technical advisor, you will lead end-to-end Test & Evaluation activities to ensure new capabilities are safe, compliant, fit for purpose and ready for operational use. You will work closely with engineering teams, project stakeholders and Defence personnel, providing specialist guidance on testing, verification, validation, system safety and capability assurance. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior T&E professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and influencing critical Defence capability outcomes.
