Job summary

Amentum are seeking an experienced Tactical UAS Test & Evaluation Manager to lead end-to-end test and evaluation activities for Brisbane-based UAS programs in a Defence environment.

You will work with engineering, project stakeholders, and Defence personnel to ensure testing is safe, compliant, and fit for purpose, providing specialist guidance on verification, validation, system safety, and capability assurance. NV1 clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering or equivalent technical experience.
• Formal qualifications or recognised training in Test & Evaluation.
• Significant experience leading complex Test & Evaluation programs in Defence, government or industry.
• Strong knowledge of verification, validation, certification and capability assurance processes.
• Experience conducting technical risk assessments and supporting system safety programs.
• Experience producing high-quality technical reports and documentation.
• Knowledge of Defence Test & Evaluation and systems engineering frameworks.
• Current Australian Government Security Clearance NV1 or NV2.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination and delivery of Test & Evaluation activities across Tactical UAS programs.
• Develop, review and approve test plans, procedures, reports and supporting documentation.
• Plan and execute Preview, Acceptance and operational Test & Evaluation events.
• Assess technical and design documentation to support verification, validation and certification activities.
• Conduct technical risk assessments and contribute to system safety programs.
• Support systems engineering activities, including requirements development and verification.
• Provide specialist Test & Evaluation advice to project teams and stakeholders.
• Analyse test data and prepare technical reports, findings and recommendations.
• Support the integration of new capabilities into complex operational environments.
• Engage with a broad range of technical and non-technical stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.
