Job summary

eShepherd is seeking a Software Test Engineer to ensure the reliability and quality of our IoT/AI-driven platform for farmers. You’ll design and execute test plans across backend services, APIs, frontend interfaces and device features, working with software, product, UX/UI and DevOps teams.

Role combines manual testing with test automation, supports CI/CD practices, and drives continuous improvement of testing processes to deliver high-quality releases.

Qualifications

• Experience in software testing, including designing and executing test cases.
• Experience with functional, integration and end-to-end testing methodologies.
• Exposure to test automation tools such as Cypress, JUnit or similar.
• Programming or scripting experience in JavaScript, Java, Python or comparable languages.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute test plans across web, API and device-based features.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and supporting CI/CD testing practices.
• Identify, document and validate defects to support high-quality releases.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering and DevOps teams to improve quality across the platform.
• Use monitoring and observability tools to investigate system behaviour and troubleshoot issues.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing tools, processes and automation.
