Job summary

Martin Brower ANZ is seeking a Transport Leading Hand at our Sydney Distribution Center. This role focuses on safety, teamwork and delivering excellence in our daily operations, coordinating the shift and ensuring on-time deliveries.

You will lead a small team, supervise with the shift supervisor, manage training for drivers, maintain vehicle servicing records, and uphold WHS and food safety principles. A current HC/MC licence is essential and forklift/first aid can be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead a group and drive performance results.
• Effective and professional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Reliable with a positive demeanour.
• A team player with attention to detail and advocate for safe work practices.
• Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) and food safety principles is an advantage.
• A current HC/ MC licence with a clean driving record is essential. Forklift licence/first aid certificate would be an advantage
• Ability to meet the role requirements and undertake pre-employment background and medical (including Drug and alcohol) testing

Responsibilities

• Supporting the shift supervisor to coordinate the team to meet the workplace output and productivity level required by the business
• Working effectively individually without direct supervision
• Responsible for accident investigation as well as fuel and storage procedures
• Champion the Company policies and procedures to ensure team compliance
• Ensure that tasks are allocated in a fair and timely manner to meet dispatch requirements for on-time deliveries
• Maintain servicing records for Vehicles, MHE and other equipment as required
• Restaurant deliveries and unloading stock at restaurants
• Working in accordance with WHS requirements and ensuring their team do the same
• Providing training to drivers as and when required
• Undertaking additional tasks as directed
