Job summary

Compas Pty Ltd is seeking a Test and Assurance Manager for the Systems Engineering & T&E program. The role requires onsite attendance at the primary facility in the ACT to lead T&E planning, execution, and reporting for complex ICT and defence-related systems.

You will develop test plans, oversee TRRs, and ensure verification, validation and technical assurance, while working with project managers and engineering teams to resolve integration issues. NV1 clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in Test and Evaluation (T&E) in complex systems engineering or integration environments.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, databases and information systems.
• Australian citizenship with ability to work onsite in the ACT; NV1 clearance preferred.

Job Title

Test and Assurance Manager | Systems Engineering & T&E

Lead Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities across complex systems engineering and integration environments within a major Australian Government program. This role focuses on test planning, execution, technical assurance and reporting to support the integration and operational effectiveness of interconnected ICT and communications systems.

Work Arrangement: Onsite attendance required at the primary facility.
Contract Duration: 1 January 2027 – 30 June 2028, with a possible 12-month extension.
Security Clearance Requirement: NV1
Closing Date: 9 November 2026

Essential Tasks

• Plan, coordinate, conduct and report on Test and Evaluation (T&E) activities, including test methodologies, risk management and safety requirements.
• Develop and review test plans, procedures and reports, ensuring effective verification, validation and technical assurance.
• Manage test activities, facilitate Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), analyse results and assess system operational effectiveness and suitability.
• Engage project managers, engineering teams and ICT stakeholders to resolve integration issues, improve testing processes and support the broader T&E program.

Key Criteria

• Demonstrated experience in Test and Evaluation (T&E), preferably within complex systems engineering or systems integration environments.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, databases and information systems.
• Strong organisational, leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to coordinate technical testing activities.
• Australian citizenship and the ability to work onsite at the primary facility in the ACT. Previous ADF service or Defence T&E experience is highly desirable.
