Job summary

Blackroc Recruitment is seeking multiple Test Analysts for long-term contracts in Australia. The role focuses on modern testing, automation and Generative AI, with hands-on experience across test design, system testing and defect management.

You will work on test automation using Selenium and Playwright, with Cucumber, and use JIRA/Xray/ALM for test management. Hybrid, Australia-wide opportunities; Australian citizenship required.

Qualifications

• Experience in creating and maintaining test cases across the testing lifecycle.
• Hands-on system testing, SIT and regression testing.
• Automation experience with Selenium/Playwright and frameworks like Cucumber.
• Defect logging, triage, prioritisation, investigation and retesting.
• Practical use of Generative AI in test design, coverage, or automation.
• Familiarity with GenAI in software testing workflows.
• Experience with JIRA or similar test-management tools.
• Ability to produce test and defect metrics and reports.
• Experience in Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage test cases based on requirements.
• Execute system testing, SIT and regression tests.
• Develop and maintain test automation scripts with Selenium/Playwright.
• Log, triage and retest defects and track closure.
• Apply Generative AI to aid test design and coverage.
• Follow spec-driven, design-first testing practices.
• Use JIRA/XRay/ALM or similar tools for tracking.
• Generate test metrics and status reports.
• Work within Agile delivery teams.

Test Analysts – Generative AI & Test Automation

12 + 12 month contracts | Multiple role | Hybrid Australia-wide | Australian Citizenship Essential

Blackroc is recruiting for multiple Test Analysts for long-term contract opportunities.

We're looking for testers with strong hands-on experience across modern testing, automation and generative AI.

You will need experience with

• Test case design and management – analysing requirements, creating and maintaining test cases throughout the testing lifecycle.
• System Testing, SIT and Regression Testing
• Test automation – exposure to Selenium and/or Playwright, with frameworks such as Cucumber.
• Defect management – logging, triage, prioritisation, investigation, retesting and closure.
• Generative AI in testing – practical use of AI to support test design, test scenario generation, test coverage, automation or testing efficiency.
• Spec-driven and design-first practices, including understanding how to safely integrate GenAI into the software testing lifecycle.
• JIRA / Xray / ALM or similar test management tools.
• Test and defect metrics, reporting and analysis.
• Agile delivery environments.

The Generative AI component is important – general familiarity with ChatGPT isn't enough. We're looking for candidates who can demonstrate how they have actually used GenAI within software testing or software delivery.
