Job summary

Paxus is seeking an experienced Technical Business Analyst / Delivery Lead to join their Quality & Automation Centre of Excellence in Sydney on a 6-month contract with potential extension. You will collaborate with business stakeholders, engineering teams and senior technology leaders to define requirements and drive delivery of Intelligent Testing and Release Automation.

You will own backlogs, translate architectures into actionable stories, and mentor delivery teams while navigating governance

Qualifications

• 15+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or Delivery Lead.
• Strong experience in technology, automation, DevOps or quality engineering environments.
• Proven ability translating technical concepts into clear business requirements and delivery plans.
• Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops with business and technology teams to understand current testing and release processes.
• Identify automation opportunities and areas of testing/release technical debt.
• Translate technical architecture and automation standards into requirements, epics, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Own and manage backlogs across multiple delivery squads.
• Drive delivery, including tracking risks, dependencies, issues and timelines.
• Work closely with Automation Engineers and Architects to ensure solutions meet business and technical requirements.
• Support the adoption of Intelligent Testing and Release Automation across different business domains.
• Work with stakeholders throughout implementation, managing expectations and communicating scope, impacts and dependencies.
• Support governance and quality standards across delivery.
• Track and report on adoption and delivery outcomes, including DORA metrics.
• Support the rollout of emerging AI and automation capabilities, including appropriate governance and human-in-the-loop controls.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to BAs and Delivery Leads within domain squads.

My client is looking for an experienced Technical Business Analyst / Delivery Lead to join their Quality & Automation Centre of Excellence (CoE).

About the role

You will work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, automation specialists and senior technology leaders to support the rollout of Intelligent Testing and Release Automation across multiple business domains.

You will be responsible for understanding current processes, identifying automation opportunities, translating technical solutions into clear business requirements and driving delivery through to implementation.

About you

• 15+ years' experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or Delivery Lead.
• Strong experience working within technology, automation, DevOps or quality engineering environments.
• Proven experience translating technical concepts and architecture into clear business requirements and delivery plans.
• Strong Agile/Scrum delivery experience.
• Experience managing backlogs, requirements, risks, dependencies and delivery across multiple teams or domains.
• Working knowledge of test automation frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright or Appium.
• Exposure to CI/CD and release automation tools, ideally Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions and/or ServiceNow.
• Understanding of DORA metrics and using data to support delivery and prioritisation.
• Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience working with senior stakeholders and technology leadership.
• Good understanding of AI/Agentic AI and automation concepts would be highly desirable
