Job summary

Hitech Group is seeking an experienced Test Manager to lead end-to-end testing for federal government digital initiatives in Australia. The role supports Generative AI-enabled testing, governance, and hands-on QA across multiple states with hybrid working arrangements.

The successful candidate will oversee test strategy development, planning, case creation and metrics, ensuring stakeholder alignment and quality outcomes for complex releases.

• Long-term Federal Government contract with hybrid working
• Lead end-to-end testing across complex digital projects

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Test Manager / Test Lead to lead end-to-end testing across complex digital projects and product releases. You will drive test governance, planning, assurance, defect management and stakeholder outcomes, while supporting the adoption of Generative AI and modern testing practices.

The successful Test Manager will be offered an initial 12-month contract with the view to be extended, with opportunities across QLD, ACT, VIC, NSW and SA and hybrid working arrangements.

The successful Test Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Lead end-to-end testing across complex projects and releases.
• Develop test strategies, plans, test cases and coverage matrices.
• Drive test governance, defect management and quality assurance.
• Manage stakeholders and communicate key testing outcomes.

The successful Test Manager will have experience in the following:

• Test governance across the complete testing lifecycle.
• SIT, system, regression testing and defect management.
• Requirements analysis, test case traceability and test metrics.
• Generative AI and spec-driven software testing practices.
