Job summary

Asahi Beverages is seeking a proactive Business Development Executive to manage an established independent retail territory across Canberra North, with regular trips to Goulburn, Yass and Crookwell. You will partner with liquor shops and grocers to grow distribution, promotions and brand presence in-store.

This hands-on field sales role involves visiting up to six customers daily within a structured fortnightly cycle. FMCG experience helps, but is not essential as we provide training.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer-facing sales environments.
• Ability to plan, organise and follow through on commitments.
• Resilient, positive approach to changing priorities and systems.
• Comfort working autonomously and managing your own day.
• Willingness to learn and be coached.
• Current full Australian driver licence.
• FMCG, liquor, grocery, merchandising or territory experience is helpful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 60 independent liquor and grocery customers.
• Plan and deliver an effective fortnightly customer call cycle.
• Build strong relationships with independent owners and store teams.
• Sell in products, promotions and business initiatives with a value-led approach.
• Grow distribution, volume, visibility and brand presence across the territory.
• Identify opportunities in range, space, pricing and promotional execution.
• Review territory performance, maintain follow-up and deliver against sales targets.
• Work independently in the field while contributing to a supportive local and virtual team.
